Terminal and infrastructure diagrams on a desk

Background

Experience

A decade of keeping production calm — the teams I've built platforms for and the tools I reach for most.

Career

Where I've kept the lights on

  1. Staff Platform Engineer

    2022 — Present

    Northwind Cloud

    • Built the internal developer platform on EKS with Backstage and Crossplane, taking teams from empty repo to production in 25 minutes.
    • Rolled out GitOps with Argo CD and OPA guardrails across 40+ engineers, cutting infra tickets by 90%.
    • Set the on-call and incident-review culture: blameless postmortems, SLOs, and error budgets on every tier-1 service.
  2. Site Reliability Engineer

    2020 — 2022

    Meridian Systems

    • Consolidated five monitoring tools into one OpenTelemetry stack, dropping MTTR by 55%.
    • Led the migration from hand-rolled scripts to Terraform, making the whole cloud estate reproducible and drift-checked.
    • Ran quarterly failover game days that validated a 4-minute multi-region recovery.
  3. DevOps Engineer

    2018 — 2020

    Byteharbor

    • Replaced weekly big-bang releases with a canary pipeline shipping 30+ times a day.
    • Containerised a legacy monolith and moved it onto Kubernetes with zero customer-facing downtime.
